Toyota Production Hits Record Highs in 2013

Thanks to all of our DCH Freehold Toyota customers!

Think you might have noticed more Toyotas on the road while you were driving to work this morning? Well, there’s a reason for that.

The automaker produced at record levels this past year, outdoing 2012 production numbers. At its 14 manufacturing facilities in North America, Toyota built 1,857,695 vehicles in 2013, a 5 percent increase from the previous year, and 1,715,709 engines, a 3 percent increase.

“Production is a direct reflection of a growing market and our focus on building cars and trucks that exceed our customers’ expectations,” said Osamu “Simon” Nagata, president and CEO of Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc. “As we look at 2014 and beyond we’ll continue to deliver products with the highest safety, quality, design and value.”

Toyota has announced new investment of $2.1 billion into its North American manufacturing operations and has committed to boosting employment by 4,000 at its facilities. As an exporter to 23 countries, Toyota hopes to continue to expand its production operations.

Here at DCH Freehold Toyota, we are proud to carry the Toyota name and to offer you a wide selection of America’s favorite cars.
