DCH Freehold Toyota is proud to announce that Toyota made history once again at the 24th annual Environmental Media Awards. The auto manufacturer was a presenting sponsor at the awards and, in an industry first, awarded a Toyota Fuel Cell Vehicle (FCV) to one bidder. This is the first time that a major auto manufacturer has given away a fuel cell vehicle to an individual owner.
The awards are presented by the Environmental Media Association (EMA) to honor exemplary individuals within the entertainment industry for promoting environmental messages. Toyota has been a presenting sponsor of the awards for 14 years.
“The influencers at the EMA awards lead not only Hollywood’s conversations about environmental issues, but the country’s, and we’re looking forward to starting the fuel cell conversation,” said Bob Carter, senior vice president, automotive operations, Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc.
This year’s event was hosted by notable actor, director, and environmentalist Ed Begley Jr. and recognized diverse honorees including Daniel Abbasi, James Cameron, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Maria Wilhelm. Proceeds from the event benefit the EMA’s programs. For more information on Toyota’s FCV initiatives, visit http://www.toyota.com/fuelcell.
