Overview

Take everything you know about the Toyota Camry and throw it out the window. The 2018 Camry is designed to confound expectations, and the result is a radically thrilling take on the Toyota mainstay that boasts an exciting new exterior, updated suspension, and a whole suite of other innovative new features, and for the fuel-conscious, Toyota throws a Camry Hybrid into the mix. Current Camry fans will no doubt be entranced by this unexpected evolution, but the 2018 Camry is poised to win over a whole new generation of enthusiasts as well.

The 2018 Camry is the first Toyota vehicle produced in North America to be built on Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA), and it shows. The Camry's new body features more high-tensile steel for structural rigidity, and with an innovative double wishbone rear suspension system, the 2018 Camry handles better than ever. Its road manners are further improved by a new four-point engine mounting system that helps reduce noise, vibration, and harshness in the cabin.

The Perfect Ride for…

The fans who have helped make the Camry the best-selling four-door sedan in America for over a decade, as well as savvy buyers who are ready for a truly 21st-century sedan that’s as smart as they are. With an emotionally charged new design and options that range from the practical to the performance-focused, there’s a Camry for everybody—and with the Toyota Safety Sense™ P (TSS-P) active safety package standard on every model, peace of mind is always on hand.

Drive & Handling

The traditional gasoline Camry is available with your choice of either an all-new 2.5-liter inline-4 or a new 3.5-liter V6. The 2.5-liter Dynamic Force Engine is inspired by TNGA and is paired with a new Direct Shift eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard across the model lineup. Generating 203 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, this powertrain is rated at 34 mpg combined (29 mpg city, 41 mpg highway) on the base model and 32 mpg combined (28 mpg city, 39 mpg highway) on LE models and above.*

The 3.5-liter generates 301 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque and front-wheel drive. This powertrain is rated at 26 mpg combined (22 mpg city, 33 mpg highway) on the base model and 26 mpg combined (22 mpg city, 32 mpg highway) on XSE models.*

For the hybrid version, Toyota combines the 4-cylinder Dynamic Force Engine with an 88kW electric motor. The combined hybrid powertrain puts out 208-hp and 149 lb-ft of instant torque. With more than enough power to push the Camry's lightweight frame, drivers will enjoy the enviable savings at the pump. The 2018 Camry Hybrid LE brings home an EPA-estimated 51 mpg in the city and 53 mpg on the highway.*
